Some of the most interesting work I do isn't my own. Reviewing papers and judging hackathons is how I keep a pulse on where human motion, embodied AI, and physical AI are actually heading — usually a year before it shows up in products.

Reviewer for the Human Motion Generation workshop at CVPR, the premier venue in computer vision. Reviewing submissions on motion synthesis and estimation — directly adjacent to my day work on generative human pose models.

TA for 100+ students; lead TA for the 3D reconstruction and multiview geometry assignment. Designed and graded work on the material I'd later build professionally.

A day on physical AI with 100+ builders, researchers and creators, $10K across three tracks —
world models, spatial intelligence, embodied AI and robotics. Judged alongside
Paige Bailey (Google DeepMind), Ignacio López-Francos (NASA), Drew Jaegle (Prometheus),
Riya Dashoriya (Meta), Nureldin Mohamed (Harvard Wyss Institute) and Evelyn Mora (VLGE AI).
Teams built firefighting simulations, autonomous wheelchair navigation, and human-robot collaboration systems.

Judge — RoboHacks
San Francisco's largest general-purpose robotics hackathon, hosted at Y Combinator.
Evaluated 25 teams of 120+ builders working on manipulation, navigation and interaction challenges.
Co-organized by Innate (YC F24) and Iterate, with Google DeepMind, NASA, Scale AI, ElevenLabs and Nebius as partners.
